Anne Hathaway warns body shamers she's gaining weight for a movie role

Thursday's post shows a time lapse video of the actress doing an intense muscle-building work-out. "There is no shame in gaining weight during pregnancy (or ever)", she wrote on Instagram after giving birth to her son Jonathan.

Just before the 2018 Oscars, the Love & Other Drugs star reflected on the criticism surrounding her 2013 Academy Award win for Best Supporting Actress in Les Miserables.

That's right. If you have nothing nice to say about Anne's body in the next couple of month then just keep it to yourselves, folks.

I don't think she meant it that way, but there's something about her need to explain away her weight gain that's disturbing. She continued she was supposed to set the video to Queen's "Fat Bottomed Girls", but that copyright didn't permit her to do so.

Notably, this isn't the first time Hathaway had done some measures for body shamers that seemed to be everywhere. The outspoken actress wanted to get ahead of the news before people start to criticize her body in the media, which seems like a pretty good idea in theory.

"I had to change my dress last minute and it looked like my nipples were hard", she wrote in the post. There is no shame if it takes longer than you think it will to lose the weight (if you want to lose it at all), Hathaway wrote in an Instagram post previous year. "How the world feels about me has nothing to do with me".
