Manchester United Star Missing From Training Ahead of Sevilla Clash

In Saturday's 2-1 win over arch-rivals Liverpool, Manchester United's Marcus Rashford eclipsed Sanchez's form.

Pogba was absent from United's open training session on Monday morning but Mourinho said at his news conference later in the day that the midfielder joined the group after the media left.

In defence Phil Jones, Daley Blind and Marcos Rojo are all doubts for this game, while Paul Pogba could also face a late fitness test after picking up a knock. They also registered a comeback 3-2 win against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park after losing 0-2 early in the second half earlier this past week. In the Champions League, the team has a slight edge ahead of this game since the first leg ended with a scoreless draw.

The Liverpool legend believes that even Manchester United fans would struggle to say they love watching what Mourinho serves up; on Saturday on home turf the Red Devils had just 32 per cent possession and two shots on target.

There has been much speculation about the future of Pogba at the Old Trafford. Days after the home leg, they were trounced 5-2 by second-placed Atletico Madrid, and come into tonight's fixture off the back of a 2-0 defeat to Valencia, meaning the gap to them in fourth has widened.

United's hero at the weekend was homegrown forward Marcus Rashford, who marked his first Premier League start of 2018 with a brace. Not many were expecting him to start against Liverpool and he had a good match not just about scoring goals.

"I think with all the minutes around the two goals we conceded then a draw would have been deserved for us, but because we made these two mistakes we have to take the result like it is. That's where I'm at and you have got to accept it".

At times, it seemed like he was the only one who noticed UEFA now puts the Europa League victor into next season's Champions League.

Playing wide is improving the game of a player who feels "more comfortable in the middle", but wherever he is deployed the need to "express yourself" is key. I think we're not one of the best teams in the competition but when a team arrives in the last eight, anything can happen. "In time he will prove to be a top signing for United". I know that it is very hard to go through.

Liverpool had more possession and did more with the ball than United, but against a Jose Mourinho side having more possession and doing more with the ball often doesn't end up with three points given the Portuguese manager's tactical tendencies.

On the other hand, Sevilla do not have confirmed absentees but several players are doubtful and could miss the game at Old Trafford this Tuesday.

"If Pogba's going forward and Sanchez is dropping, you can nearly throw a blanket over them - and that will be music to the ears of opponents".
