Some things that get reported by the media may later turn out to be wrong. Instead, Simons, who idolized Columbine mass shooters Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, shot himself dead in the bathrooms of Jackson Memorial Middle School, in OH, on February 20.

"Mom, I think my roommate just shot his mom", the text read.

Authorities were looking for 19-year-old Eric Davis Jr.

The school is urging students to take shelter.

"Thank God that she's here and she's safe", Holz said.

James Eric Davis Jr.is a sophomore at Central Michigan University in Mt.

Their son, Davis Jr., has been named a suspect in the deadly double shooting.

Police have apprehended the suspect in a deadly shooting that took place Friday at a dorm on the campus of Central Michigan University in Mt.

The shooting inside the Campbell Hall dormitory happened on the eve of spring break and sparked a lockdown on the campus in Mount Pleasant, Mich., a city about 85 miles from Grand Rapids and 155 miles from Detroit. He was later named a suspect during a police news conference around noon.

He was described by the CMU Police as a 5-foot-10 African-American man, weighing around 135 pounds. He was last seen wearing mustard yellow jeans and a blue hoodie. Authorities released a photo of the 19-year-old, who had been considered armed and risky.

The state of Michigan allows for the concealed carrying of a handgun with a permit, but Central Michigan University does not allow guns on campus. Officers were searching nearby railroad tracks and off-campus apartments.

Davis Jr., Klaus said, had some sort of "overdose or bad reaction to drugs" and was hospitalized. He was treated and released from the hospital.

School President George Ross says Friday is a "tragic day" for Central Michigan.

The shooting happened about 8:30 a.m. Friday on the dorm's fourth floor.

Bailey lives at Calkins Hall. "Mr. Davis was very vague and he kept talking about someone having a gun", Yeagley said, adding that Davis Jr. said he had not actually seen the person with a gun.

"These roads are kind of spooky right now", Whipple said.

The Bellwood Police Department is in "close communication" with authorities in MI to aid in the investigation and search for the couple's son, a police spokesman said. "We want to help and support them in any way possible". "Keep a low profile and don't be walking around outside and causing scenes", he said.

The university said Friday morning that the report concerns Campbell Hall on its campus in Mount Pleasant.

"It was like this far away thing".

"Whether there was a mental health component that was in conjunction with that, we don't know", Klaus said, telling reporters there are "pieces of the puzzle" police are still trying to put together as they investigate the suspected shooter and his motive".
