"Yesterday, on the balcony, seemed like a lose-lose situation because if Jennifer wore jeans and a coat I'm sure somebody else would have criticised (sic) her", he said.

The uproar was caused by a photo that featured Jennifer in a black Versace gown and her Red Sparrow male co-stars wearing coats.

Actress Jennifer Lawrence poses for photographers at the photo call for the film "Red Sparrow" in London, Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2018.

"This is not only utterly ridiculous, I am extremely offended", the 27-year-old posted. Sadly, the only thing we know for sure is that the rumors began spreading when Tay dropped her music video for "Look What You Made Me Do" back in August.

"I stand in solidarity for Women's rights, Equal pay, DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals), CHIP (Children's Health Insurance Program)", she captioned the picture, in which she's holding a sign that reads: "A woman's place is in the revolution".

Let's be honest, the whole cycle of this is revealing & depressing.

"I'm going to take the next year off", Lawrence told ET.

And while the actress looks undeniably stunning, she equally looks freezing cold in the 5°C British weather.

Apparently, "WarmCoatGate" is even bigger than Jennifer Lawrence, and some are determined to make it an issue even if she doesn't want it to be.

Hence why Jennifer Lawrence's latest photocall for Red Sparrow has polarised fans online.

Some then branded her "rude" and "a brat", however Jen said the pair had an "inside joke" in a radio interview.

"This is sexist, this is ridiculous, this is not feminism", she added.

Speaking at the Vue Cinema in London's Leicester Square, she told The Mirror: 'I am in the single mode where I am like, "Cool, I can do whatever I want and I can be alone and watch awful TV".

The Hunger Games star is taking 12 months off acting to get more "young people engaged politically". And I'd just walked out and gone "thank you Joanna".

"I'd be like 'I don't want the robe".
