Selfie stunt goes wrong as train hits youth

A Hyderabad man on Sunday almost died while taking a selfie video with a speeding train in the background.

The disturbing video surfaced on Wednesday and went viral with many netizens describing the stunt as "height of stupidity" and appealing to youths never to attempt this. All of sudden, train smashes into him from behind and he was badly injured after getting hit viral in a video. The train hit him at a high speed tossing him on to the gravel, while the video was still on.

The speeding train suddenly hits the man and the image goes blank after a loud sound.

Luckily, the man survived, but sustained severe head injuries. Shiva is also seen telling them to "wait a minute" and continues to smile and pose before the train rammed him. He was reportedly near Bharat Nagar railway station in the north east of the city, Sunday when the incident occured. Shiva replies in his native language, before continuing to shoot the selfie video on the railway tracks. Kumar can be seen ignoring the locomotive's repeated honking and continuing to take the video. "He received serious injuries on right hand, head and chest, but is out of danger now", Dasya Naik, Sub-Inspector, Nampally, Telangana State Railway Police, said.

The clip shows Kumar standing next to the railway tracks with his back to the train as it approaches.

Police said it was actually the force of the wind rather than the train that knocked Shiva down.
