Dragon Ball FighterZ Will Have Loot Boxes, But No Micro-Transactions

Yesterday, Bandai Namco confirmed that another 24 hours long Dragon Ball FighterZ open beta is going to be held as compensation for last week's open beta issues.

All in all, 21 easily looks like one of the more interesting characters in the game, if only for this sudden change in design. Since we have only played the beta and not the full game itself, this is categorized as a rumor until we or Bandai Namco can officially verify this claim.

The news that a new beta would become available follows a series of server problems that affected the most recent open beta. But aside from them, a new playable character is added to the game, which is Android 21, according to reports.

Android 21 is the game's villain due to creating an army of androids that are copies of the main characters, forcing them all to team up in order to take her down. In her basic form, she is a slim human-looking woman with brown hair and glasses. She also has a tail that looks similar to Freiza or Beerus, which could possibly imply that she's some sort of hybrid. As for gameplay, she appears to absorb energy from enemies alike to pull off special moves such as Solar Flare or even her own Kamehameha. To prepare players for the game, Bandai Namco recently shared the minimum and required specs of the game, which is based on the "Dragon Ball" anime.

Dragon Ball FighterZ will launch for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on January 26 in the Americas and Europe, and February 1 in Japan.
