Trinity plans Christmas Eve services

■ Next Generation Church, 2506 N. Railroad St., Winterville, will host a Christmas Eve service at 9 a.m. Sunday. At the Liturgical Candlelight Christmas service with Holy Communion at 5 p.m., Rev. Skurla's sermon will be "Your House". Refreshments will be served afterward. The regular Sunday morning worship services are held at 9 a/m. Immigration of Christians from Eastern Europe and Africa has helped to stem the decline in church attendance in some areas, with London home a greater number of migrants than any other region - around three million foreign-born people living in the capital.

8 p.m.: Adult choristers and soloists and evening service.

St. John's United Methodist Church (3001 Lincoln Highway East, Paradise): There will be services at 8 and 10 a.m. Christmas Eve and on December 31.

St. Stanislaus Church, 80 Richmond St., Winchester: Monday Christmas Day mass at 10:30 a.m. White will provide a special Christmas message.

Catholic masses will also be held at St. Francis by the Sea, 430 Park Ave., on Christmas Eve at 5 p.m. and Christmas morning at 9:30 and 11:15 a.m.

5 and 7 p.m.

Faith Presbyterian Church, 700 E. Melrose Ave., will host a morning Christmas Eve worship service at 10:30, including lighting of the fourth Advent candle, special music by Holly McConnell, Linda Darnall and Nancy Rader, Scripture readings and Christmas hymns.

PECOS First Baptist Church of Pecos, 423 S. Hickory St., Pecos, has scheduled its annual Carols, Candles and Communion service at 6 p.m. Sunday.

Leacock Presbyterian Church (3181 Lincoln Highway East, Paradise): The church will celebrate two Christmas Eve services.

First Parish Church of Newbury, 20 High Road, Christmas Eve candlelight service at 5 p.m.

At the 10 a.m. worship service on Sunday, Dec. 24, Pastor Lois Hildenbrand's advent message for the fourth Sunday of Advent will be "Restored to Love" (Psalm 96). Christmas Eve services will begin at 7 p.m. with special prelude music beginning at 6:30.

■ St. Matthew True Born Faith of Christ Church, 601 Norris St., will have a worship service at 11 a.m. Sunday. The service will include Nativity narratives. or (501) 663-8149.

Lititz Church of the Brethren (300 W. Orange St., Lititz): A Christmas Eve candlelight service will be held at 7 p.m. The second will be a candlelight service at 6 p.m. with a pie social to follow.

Walnut St., Farmville, will host a morning prayer at 11 a.m. Sunday.

St. Paul Lutheran Church (222 N. George St., Millersville): The church will host a 6:30 p.m. family worship service with candlelight and carols, and a 9:30 p.m. The service will begin at 8 and will include communion, concluding with a tradition of singing "Silent Night" in German and English.

St. John's Episcopal Church (321 W. Chestnut St.): Christmas Eve services, will begin at 3:30 p.m. A pageant supper will follow at 5 p.m. and at 6:30 p.m. will be the family service/pageant. The Sanctuary Place is a new congregation affiliated with the Presbyterian Church U.S.A.

Cornerstone Evangelical Free Church, 4100 Casper Mountain Road, welcomes everyone to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. The 9 p.m. traditional Christmas Eve service features music and word, concluding with a candlelight service. The public is invited.

-- Community Southern Baptist Church will offer a holiday production, "The Christmas Gift", at 10 522 Anthony St., Waterloo.
