Some folks are hoping to get a big cash windfall for Christmas, thanks to the nine-figure Powerball and Mega Millions jackpots. No winning tickets were sold for Saturday's Powerball drawing, so that meant the jackpot grew to an estimated $337 million, which amounts to $210 million with the cash option.

Prior to the drawing, the jackpot increased from the estimated $300 million to $309 million.

The Mega Millions jackpot has grown since October 17 and has rolled 19 times. The drawing for the Rolling Cash 5 is each night at 7:35 p.m. Eastern Wednesdays and Saturdays. Tickets are on sale until 10:45 p.m. Friday. The $300 million jackpot is also the highest Powerball prize since August 23, when a $758.7 million jackpot was won from a ticket sold in Chicopee.

Just in time for the holidays, Tuesday evening's Mega Millions drawing could help someone start the new year off on the right foot. The odds of winning the jackpot with a $2 ticket are 1-in-302,575,350.

Saturday's Megabucks Doubler drawing features the in-state game's jackpot since March 11, when a $11.34 million jackpot was won on a ticket sold in Clinton. Tickets cost $2 each.
