Games with Gold for January announced

Gold titles for Xbox Live Gold members were also announced.

For the entire month of January, Xbox One owners will be able to grab The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing III for free.

Van Helsing III will make its debut on Xbox One and will be Xbox One X Enhanced upon release.

We're still 10 days away from entering a new month and the start of 2018, but the folks over at Microsoft deserve their vacation as well, so they've chose to reveal the Games with Gold for January today.

Speculation is rife as to what could be included in the PlayStation line-up. Van Helsing will do battle against even more terrifying beasts with an expanded arsenal for six specialized character classes and a more detailed, diverse leveling system.

For the next couple of weeks, give Xbox Live Gold and Game Pass a go for the low price of $2 and get access to over 100 games and a month worth of Live perks while also donating to a good cause this winter break. Then later in the month, get ready to fight for your survival on the streets of London during the zombie apocalypse in Zombi.

As for the Xbox 360, Crystal Dynamics "Tomb Raider: Underworld" will be free to download and played for the first half of January.

Last but not least, Army of Two is coming on January 16th for Xbox One and Xbox 360, a third-person shooter following the story of two mercenaries fighting through war, political turmoil, and a conspiracy from 1993 to 2009. Army of Two is available for Games with Gold from January 16th through January 31st.

There is however one reason Xbox users can look forward to backwards Compatibility in 2018 and thats with the impending release of the Original Xbox Duke Controllers to further improve your experience when playing those original Xbox games. A Way Out comes from the creator of Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, Josef Fares, and follows two inmates as they try to break out from a high-security prison.Whether you've watched Prison Break or just have a fascination with anything similar, this is a game to get excited about.
