Watson tore his other ACL in 2014 while he was at Clemson, and actually played with it in a game against SC.

"Look back in life to when you faced adversity and thought you would not overcome it, and then you did", Beckham wrote. "Since he went through the rehab before, he knows what it takes".

"At least this happened in the middle of the season and he has had the opportunity to show what he can do".

Watson previously suffered a torn ACL late in the 2014 season after an exceptional freshman year.

Watson has thrown more touchdown passes (19) in his first seven games than anyone in National Football League history. He's only completed 58.1 percent of his passes along with six touchdowns, eight touchdowns and a quarterback rating of 72.8 during his career.

Watson rebounded from the injury to be named a Heisman finalist in 2015 and 2016. For the rest of the game, the Texans did a little better when in the third quarter with 9:12 remaining, Watson connected with wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins for a four-yard touchdown pass to get the Texans on the board.

As a freshman with the Tigers, Watson tore his left ACL towards the end of the season but was still able to play on it and helped lead Clemson to a win over SC. The 19 touchdowns are a record for a player in his first seven games, and he has two rushing touchdowns in addition to that total.

In conclusion, Swinney said, "I have not doubt he will come back from this".
