The Last Of Us 2 Receives New PS4 Trailer

While we're happy to see that progress is being made on The Last of Us Part II, the trailer now leaves us with many questions. Still not excited? Well, you should be.

While Sony unveiled a number of trailers during the Playstation Paris Games Week's media showcase, they saved one of their more anticipated titles under their belt for last by releasing a new trailer for The Last of Us Part II. But be warned as it is kind of... ehm... disturbing. He says that Ellie and Joel were deliberately left out of the clip to keep viewers focused on the new characters who are 'integral to their next journey.' He signs off by promising fans won't have to wait too long for the next reveal.

If The Last of Us Part 2 is handled as deftly as the original game, then perhaps this scene works within the context of the rest of its story, no matter how disturbing it is to watch.

Neil Druckmann and his team at Naughty Dog have revealed that The Last of Us Part II will reunite Joel and Ellie.

So, stay tuned for more fellas! The game was unveiled with a trailer that showed the return of the game's Ellie and Joel, five years after the first game. It's a painful and disturbing sight for the faint of heart, but it really sets the tone for the rest of the trailer, which involves a woman having an axe buried into her head.

The Last of Us 2 will be built upon what the devs call the "evolution" of Naughty Dog's game engine.

But that hasn't stopped viewers from making big guesses as to who this woman, who ends up breaking free of her noose and grabbing a hammer that's just been used as a murder weapon, may be.
