KFC Only Follows 11 Accounts for Punniest Reason

"11 Herbs & Spices", the tweet reads, paying homage to KFC's long-time market slogan of their chicken being made with a secret recipe with "11 spices and herbs".

It seems 11 is also the magic number of individuals the fast food chain follows on Twitter.

A man named Mike Edgette has solved the mystery of why the KFC Twittter account only follows 11 people when it has 1.2 million followers itself.

That's five Spice Girls and six Herbs.

So, to recap, that's Mel B, Mel C, Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton, Victoria Beckham, Herb Scribner, Herb J. Wesson, Jr, Herb Waters, Herb Dean, Herb Sendek, and Herb Alpert.

Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) follows six men named "Herb" and 5 "Spice" girls from the all-girl British pop group in what appears to be an ode to the company's original-recipe blend of 11 herbs and spices. The 11 herbs and spices are reportedly salt, white pepper, thyme, basil, oregano, celery salt, black pepper, mustard, paprika, garlic salt, and ground ginger, according to the scrapbook.
