Dan Quinn says it all the time, that injuries are a part of the game.

The Atlanta Falcons remain unbeaten, but just barely after surviving their game against Detroit in Week 3. The duo were headed toward the Falcons locker room.

En route to three receptions (on four targets) for 30 yards, Jones appeared "hobbled" for much of the first half, per Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports. Sanu was ruled out for the game with a hamstring injury.

Jones was limited in practice this week with a back injury.

The Falcons, last season's beaten Super Bowl finalists, saw their flawless start derailed after a gritty performance by the Bills. In the third quarter, Ryan dropped back and uncorked a deep bomb intended for Gabriel that wound up getting picked off by Bills cornerback Micah Hyde. A official review confirmed the turnover, which was Ryan's fifth interception in the last two games.

Defensive end Vic Beasley, last year's National Football League sacks leader, missed his second straight game with a hamstring injury. Right tackle Ryan Schraeder is still in concussion protocol and will be replaced once again Ty Sambrailo. And the Falcons were without their best leader with starting free safety Ricardo Allen also sidelined by a concussion.

This coming week's bye gives the Falcons a chance to rest and recover. While that makes him a boom-or-bust play, he has definite flex appeal if both Jones and Sanu are out for any significant period of time. That formula nearly helped the Falcons win the game Sunday as the backs combined for 222 yards rushing and receiving. Have thoughts on how the Bills and Falcons are performing?
