Amazon Studio Head Suspended Following Sexual Harassment of Lesbian Producer

Ms Hackett alleged that Price repeatedly propositioned her on the way to, and during, an Amazon party in San Diego in 2015. The series would have included a Price-like character named Richard Forman, who has a younger girlfriend: a writer from NY named "Lita".

Price was a top executive at Amazon Studios, the division of Amazon that produces the Emmy-award winning television series Transparent, and distributed the Oscar-award winning film Manchester by the Sea.

Amazon Studios exec Roy Price has resigned after the executive producer of The Man In The High Castle has come forward and accused him of sexual harassment.

Price, 50, has reportedly been accused of sexually harassing Ms Hackett, producer of Amazon show The Man In The High Castle. Under the control of a "psychotic imperial Thai dwarf" named Mr. Goodtimes, Cindy is drugged, beaten with a machete and told she will be "fucked like a dead fish".

Price's fiancée, writer Lila Feinbergalso, also called off their November wedding in the wake of the allegations, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

However, she says she was never told the outcome of that investigation.

"I think women inspire each other", Hackett said.

What happened after she went public?

Since Price's suspension last week, it appeared to be a foregone conclusion that he would not return to Amazon.

When an Amazon spokesman confirmed his resignation this morning, they gave no additional comment.

Albert Cheng, who took over as the interim head of the studio last week, will continue to serve in that role now that Price is officially out. Following the recent sexual harassment allegation against Price, there is a consensus that, as Amazon officially moves to finding a replacement for Price, the new head of Amazon Studios would likely be a woman, with Powell again speculated about. "An important conversation has begun about the need to create a culture in our industry, which values respect and decency and rejects the abusive power and dehumanizing treatment of others".

"This is truly an opportunity to find a better way forward, and ultimately toward a balanced representation of women and minorities in leadership positions".
