The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 draws its juice from a 4,400 mAh non-removable Li-Ion battery.

Now, a new leak has emerged, and from the looks of it, it's aimed at taking the hype surrounding the device to a completely new level. Last year's Mi Mix featured a massive 6.4-inch display, but this year's Mix 2 will likely feature a 6.2-inch display, according to the screenshot.

Xiaomi has officially confirmed to launch the Mi Mix 2 on September 11 at an event to take place in China.

This Geekbench listing also validates earlier reports which claimed that Google and Xiaomi might be working together to renew the Android One program.

The model is expected to have a 6.4 inch display and 2560x1440 pixel resolution. The company has already teased the device with dual camera setup.

As you can see from the image which is embedded above, Lei Jun has shared what appears to be the box containing the upcoming Mi Mix 2 smartphone.

Zhao Ziming, a Beijing-based industry analyst, said September and October have always been golden months for Chinese smartphone releases, and their strategies to launch full-screen handsets to compete with Apple has become clear this year, with products generally being pitched at lower prices than the USA giant. In spite of having a very compact body, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 still manages to provide dual-SIM functionality.

Going by a Facebook video post by the designer, the Mi Mix 2 will nearly be bezel-free, with thin lines on three sides and a slightly bulkier bezel at the bottom. While the Mi 5X isn't the most loved device, it offers a relatively impressive package for its price tag.

A year after the Xiaomi Mi Mix made waves in the smartphone segment with its distinguished looks and bezel-less display, the company will be hoping to make another victor that will succeed the original phone which sparked a trend in the industry.

As per the screenshot, the upcoming Xiaomi smartphone will run on Android's latest operating software- Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box with a touch of MIUI 9.
