Sunday's First Warning Forecast: Hot and humid, afternoon shower or storm possible

Showers and thunderstorms are expected to move through our area this afternoon. By Thursday and Friday, expect cloudier skies with humid conditions and a shower or t-storm around.

With Fourth of July on a Tuesday, most of the festivities will be over the weekend, and it looks very nice!

It will be hot and humid again with highs in the mid to upper 80s; showers and thunderstorms are likely. There will be a chance for some relief in the form of a shower or thunderstorm during the afternoon and evening hours.

Sunday will be sunny, warm and drier.

Keeping a chance to see some afternoon showers and storms on Monday and Tuesday, thanks to the stalled frontal boundary. High: mid 80s to near 90 degrees.

Sunday: Hot and humid. North northwest wind 6 to 10 miles per hour. Lows in the mid 70s.

MONDAY: Mix of sun and clouds. A stray shower can not be ruled out, but the chance is very low.

Rest of today: Warm and humid with the chance for thunderstorms developing. Environmental conditions are expected to be conducive for some gradual development of this system during the next several days while it moves westward at about 10 miles per hour.
