ZTE Nubia M2 Play Announced with a wide-angle selfie camera

Malaysia, as it turns out, is the latest country Nubia has set its sights on to grow its fledgling smartphone business, by introducing two new models the Nubia M2 and N11. There's 3 GB RAM and an Adreno 505 GPU for handling the phone's graphical requirements. To recall, the Nubia M2 is equipped with the Snapdragon 625 SoC and 4GB of RAM. Unfortunately, the pricing and availability of the smartphone have not yet been announced but the details should be disclosed in the coming days.

The ZTE Nubia M2 Play runs Android 6.0 and is powered by a 3000mAh non removable battery. While the front-facing camera is a 5-megapixel camera and features an f/2.4 aperture, an 84-degree wide angle, and makes use of various beauty modes to improve the quality of selfies taking with the smartphone. It is running on Android 7.0 Nougat OS that is overlaid with nubia UI 5.0 skin from the company.

It has what Nubia calls its NeoVision feature that gives users access to a variety of photo modes that include "bokeh" (blurred background), light painting, star trail and many others. Other connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, and a USB Type-C port. As the name itself suggests, the Nubia M2 Play is a downgrade to the Nubia M2 launched a few months ago. There is no information available on the performance of the device but the device sports a stronger build as it features a double diamond edge-cut frame on its metallic body. The thickness of Nubia M2 Play stands at 7.9 mm. The smartphone offers 32GB of internal storage with the option to expand further via a microSD card slot (up to 128GB).
