Monaco midfielder Fabinho would be tempted by a move to Manchester United.

Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata is a player Mourinho hopes to bring to Old Trafford, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic's injury and impending exit meaning a frontman has become a priority.

Speaking to Esporte Interativo about a potential move to Manchester United, Fabinho appeared to hint at his interest in a switch to the 13-time Premier League winners.

Fabinho joined Monaco in 2013 on loan from Portuguese side Rio Ave and made his move permanent in 2015, when he also won the first of four caps for Brazil.

The Italian newspaper has reported that the two clubs have already agreed terms, and that the fee is expected to be about €35 million (R505 million), with a €5 million (R72 million) bonus linked to goals and appearances.

"It's a tempting invitation", he stated.

"But I would have to talk with my agent and Monaco to make the things right".

Fabinho's versatility is also something which attracts Mourinho given that he can also act as cover for Antonio Valencia at right-back, having starred in Monaco's Ligue 1-winning side who also shocked the rest of Europe to reach the Champions League semi-finals. "We like Manchester United and the work of [Jose] Mourinho, but we have a little soft spot for City", Fabinho's father Joao told French television programme Telefoot, as quoted by Sky Sports.

Do you think Fabinho would be a handy signing for the Red Devils?
