"I think the president's comments on this, that he will be making a decision in the next few days, stand", Spicer said.

During his brief 30-minute appearance, Spicer spent a third of his time waxing on about the president's "extraordinarily successful" trip to the Middle East and Europe before allowing reporters to speak.

Some YouTube users agreed that Trump probably meant to write "coverage", while others joked about ordering a grande "covfefe" at Starbucks. "We will continue to pursue this investigation wherever the facts may lead."The approval of the seven subpoenas appeared to represent a political compromise between the House of Representatives panel's majority Republicans, who have joined Trump in demanding investigations into leaks of classified information to news organizations, and minority Democrats, who are pushing for an aggressive investigation into possible collusion between Russian Federation and Trump campaign aides".

Dictionary publisher Merriam-Webster checked in with an eye-rolling tweet about people looking up "covfefe" on its website.

Trump tweeted Tuesday: "Russian officials must be laughing at the USA & how a lame excuse for why the Dems lost the election has taken over the Fake News".

Multiple reporters confirmed the latest creative initiative to avoid addressing one of the most pressing and concerning national security questions in recent history.
