Henderson has a solid lead over South Korean Hur Mi-Jung (66), Spaniard Carlota Ciganda (64) and Lexi Thompson of the U.S. in the US$2 million (RM8.55 million) LPGA Tour event. Thompson missed a key birdie putt on 17, lipping out from long range. I played aggressive all day and how I did the last three days. "But I hit it well all day, so it was all a matter of hitting the shots closer and I guess just taking advantage of like No. 11, reaching that one in two, and making a few putts for birdie".

Her effort however was the equal best final round and her 4th place finish is easily her best result of the year after settling into some swing changes made earlier in the year.

“Its really exciting and it gives me a lot of confidence going into that tournament knowing that Im coming off a win, ” she said. “Unfortunately, two bogeys to finish.

Henderson won twice previous year, taking the KPMG Womens PGA Championship for her first major, and successfully defending her title in the Cambia Portland Classic.

Thompson lost in a playoff a week ago at the Manulife LPGA Classic, and made six birdies and just one bogey for a five-under 64. I nearly made the two long ones.”. "Super happy and I'm just glad it's done and I finally have my fourth win". "So this win, I say it's for him, but it really is for him because I probably wouldn't have done it without him".

Before Meijer LPGA Classic, Aditi registered her best performance on the LPGA Tour at Ana Inspiration where she carded even-par and managed a Tied 42nd finish. Moriya, the sister of world No. 1 Ariya Jutanugarn, is alone in fifth at nine-under 133, three shots back of Henderson.

Pace, 36, began the day at two under but picked up five shots on the front nine with three birdies and an eagle.

Another stroke back were Daniella King (65), Carlota Ciganda (67) and Hyo Joo Kim (68).

"It was just swirling so it was tough to really concentrate on the shot that you wanted to hit and commit to it", Thompson said.
