Reigns has been pretty deeply immersed in his feud with Braun Strowman recently, and presumably the WWE will want their top Raw performer to have some sort of a match at Extreme Rules.

If strong in-ring work and very little focus on advancing storylines is more your cup of tea than Monday's episode of Raw, which aired on tape delay from London, was right up your alley.

What, you thought the king of flight was going to make good on his promise to battle the king of flight with one arm tied behind his back? This received plenty of heat from the crowd, which then turned to big cheers as Ambrose restarted the match and Balor beat the hell out of Miz to get the quick win.

WWE Raw General Manager Kurt Angle was unavailable and hence Ambrose and The Miz were managing the event. Kalisto, who was destroyed by Strowman a couple weeks ago, shows up and challenges Strowman to a match for tonight.

The main event saw Bray Wyatt benefit from The Miz's interference to defeat Dean Ambrose in a match that otherwise served merely to preview next week's Ambrose-Miz bout for the intercontinental title. Finn Balor then executed the "coup de grace" over Miz to win. The next, and last, team to enter this match is the Golden Truth. Eliminating all other teams, Cesaro and Sheamus won the match.

"My favourite moment has been getting in the ring with the likes of Seth Rollins and Bray Wyatt". Joe then does it one last time and finishes the job with the Coquina Clutch. During the match, Miz grabbed Ambrose's Intercontinental Championship.

Then, WWE Cruiserweight Champion Neville came out for commentary. Eventually, Joe was disqualified after throwing Rollins into an exposed turnbuckle twice. The fans also got a fun cruiserweight matchup between "Gentleman" Jack Gallagher and TJ Perkins. Banks ultimately landed a double knee from the second rope to get the pin.

Finn Balor is about to start a feud with Bray Wyatt, who himself recently held the WWE world title over on SmackDown Live. Running some inteference, Ambrose eventually lost the momentum and fell victim to Sister Abigail.
