The forensic experts also claimed that victim's body was mutilated and tortured after gangrape. "In order to hide her identity, they then killed her brutally", said SI Ajay Kumar, SHO, Sonipat city police station.

The Haryana Police have arrested two persons after a young woman from Haryana's Sonepat district was allegedly abducted, gang raped and brutally killed by them, police officials said on Saturday.

Officers suspect the involvement of more men in the crime, which came days after the Supreme Court upheld the four death sentences in the similarly brutal Delhi bus gang-rape-and-murder case of December 2012.

A group of unidentified men have gangraped a woman and brutalised her before crushing her head in Haryana's Rohtak district. Stray dogs had bitten off parts of the body.

Two men have been arrested for the crime that has drawn widespread condemnation, and louder demands for punishing the culprits.

According to SK Dhhattarwal, head of Department of Forensic Medicine at the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Science (PGIMS), who was quoted by IANS, the woman was subjected to sexual assault and injuries in her body indicate that she was beaten using blunt objects. A top Haryana police officer promised they would deliver.

Congress President Sonia Gandhi expressed deep shock and outrage over the brutal gang rape, murder and mutilation of the body of the victim. The victim's parents had lodged a missing complaint at the Sonipat police station.

The victim's family says Sumit had been pressuring her for a year to marry him. A court awarded death penalty to seven men convicted in the case.

"This savage and bone chilling incident has shocked the conscience of the nation, reminding each one of us about the crying need of revisiting the important issue of women's safety and security", she said.
