That would be a pretty big value add to the iPhone if Apple goes that route, certainly more so than bundling in a pair of wired (Lightening port) EarPods that cost $29. Sources say that placing the sensor underneath the screen is creating issues that make it hard for Apple to scale the production of the iPhone and manufacture the device in large volumes.

Both Zhen Ding Technology and Kinsus Interconnect Technology, and battery supplier Simplo Technology, have reportedly managed to improve to the yield rates of SLP (substrate-like PCB) products which will allow for volume production of materials in June. Their delivery into the chips is expected to start in the second half of July.

Finally, Apple's manufacturing partners Foxconn, Pegatron and Winstron are accelerating the induction and training of workers for the iPhone 8's production. The first two predictions seem plausible, but not the third.

Apple users might not get the edge-to-edge display that they have imagined when it comes to the iPhone 8.

The iPhone 8 will supposedly also be as thin as its predecessor (7.1mm) and have the same size overall. The Cupertino giant releases a new premium iPhone every year, and this year it's going to be the iPhone 8.

Another upgrade for the iPhone is said to be glass backs. The device will likely be Apple's high-end commemorative handset, honoring the 10-year anniversary of the iPhone, and it will be separate from the next-gen iPhone 7S smartphones.

Sources say Apple is experiencing A LOT of issues getting the iPhone 8 built in the desired numbers.

Speaking of the current lineup, JP Morgan believes Apple will replace the current handsets with an iPhone 7S and 7S Plus duo.

These reports and design are just initial speculations about the device. The chassis of the regular model will be made from aluminium, while the iPhone 8 will sport a stainless steel chassis.

Personally, I do not see Apple missing this opportunity. Thus, there is a high possibility that the iPhone 8 might come equipped with this technology as well. Even if the release is delayed by a month or two, the handset will nearly certainly be launched alongside the iPhone 7s range.
