Lakers rumors: Team locked in on these four prospects

It's barely real life the Celtics will be able to add a top lottery pick to a team that's now one win away from the Eastern Conference Finals.

Fultz averaged 23.2 points, 5.7 rebounds and 5.9 assists per game as Washington's starting point guard this past season.

Much to our delight, the Knicks front office is now in the midst of doing front office things-in particular, scouting for the upcoming NBA Draft.

The Lakers met with Markelle Fultz yesterday and are planning to meet with Kentucky guard De'Aaron Fox today at the combine, per sources. The Lakers' eagerness to get to know Fultz and Fox, who are scheduled to be there, while Ball and Jackson are passing it up, will be moot if the club doesn't keep its pick.

There is a 46.9 percent chance they pick in the top three.

At this stage, the Lakers are simply hoping to keep their draft pick, and they will find out their fate at the NBA Draft Lottery on May 16. Based on probability, NY is most likely to pick seventh on June 22.

He did get a chance to meet with Phil Jackson, the Knicks' president who's won 11 National Basketball Association titles as the coach of the Bulls and Lakers, and Michael Jordan, former Tar Heel and owner of the Charlotte Hornets. He thoroughly outplayed Lonzo Ball in the NCAA Tournament although Kentucky lost to UCLA earlier in the year.

Of those three, NY appears to be favoring Ntilikina.

Other than 1969, when the Suns had to settle for Neal Walk after losing an infamous coin flip that cost them their chance at drafting Hall-of-Famer Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Phoenix's highest pick came in 1987, when the team selected Armen Gilliam at No. 2.

Ferrell has one year remaining on his contract, and is generally listed as 6 feet tall.

And that help could wind up with Ntilikina becoming the player the Mavericks take in the first round of next month's draft. Instead, targeting a steal or a reach will make for much better draft. The meetings can last no longer than 30 minutes. If the Lakers move away from Ball, who is the next best option for them?

"He doesn't have the polish of a Fultz or Ball, or the speed or raw athleticism of Fox or Smith".

Ntilikina, who was born is Belguim, has been playing professionally for Strasbourg since the 2014-15 season.

Fox models his fire and passion to Kevin Garnett ("he gave 110% every time"), his overall point guard game to John Wall.
