On a dry wicket, after they allowed Lions to post 153 for 9, famed Mumbai batting wobbled as both Nitish Rana, this year's sensation, and Rohit Sharma found the going tough against the spinners - leggie Ankit Soni and part-timer Suresh Raina giving away only 44 runs from 8 overs - something that cost them dear at the end.

The two teams were tied at 153 at regular 20 overs per side.

Bowlers Ravindra Jadeja (28), Faulkner (21) and Andrew Tye (25) gave themselves something to bowl at with some late hitting that carried the Lions past 150. Their rise has been based on a very strong batting line-up, especially the middle order featuring Rohit Sharma, Kieron Pollard and the Pandya brothers - Hardik and Krunal, and the success of pacers Mitchell McClenaghan and Jasprit Bumrah.

Patel also praised Jasprit Bumrah, who he captains in Gujarat Ranji Trophy team, saying: "He has now become a much improved bowler".

Kolkata Knight Riders will be eyeing a big win when they meet GDelhi Daredevils in the 32nd match of Vivo IPL 2017, today, at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.

Malinga made a successful comeback into the team removing the risky Brendon McCullum (6) and in-form Aaron Finch (1) to make it easier for the other bowlers. Bumrah fires a good yorker on leg, Finch moves a bit across to scoop but is hit low on his pads. McCumllum was unable to connect but ran a bye even as the ball travelled to the wicket-keeper. He got off to a horrendous start, bowling a no ball and a wide.

Chasing a modest target of 154, Mumbai Indians were cruising along at 104 for 2 in 13 overs and then 127 for 4 in 16 overs. Bumrah deceives McCullum with another slower one and this is closer to the off stump. With the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad called off without a ball being bowled due to incessant rain, Royal Challengers Bangalore had to settle for just one point. Yorker from Bumrah and he fires it outside off, Finch can not make any kind of connection on it.

NOTE: According to the agreement, IPL 2017 live stream for internet users will run 5 minutes behind the TV broadcast. Ravindra Jadeja was the man of the moment for the hosts effecting two run outs in the space four balls with his accurate throws. McCullum hits this full ball down to long off and takes a single.
